Ella had a big smile and her mom's auburn-colored hair. She loved playing with her two dogs, Jolie and Pierre, and her cat Apple. She lived in Northern California, near Sacramento.

Known for her sly humor and physical size, Ella fit right in with a family that loves socializing and basketball. Ella was tall! Sit or lie down in a comfortable position and take a nice deep breath through your nose and hold it for a few seconds and let it out through your mouth with a sigh. I suppose this year is a milestone because I wasn't an emotional wreck leading up to today, the anniversary of Ella's death, but there's nothing like the feeling when the day is upon you. Each year more memories slip away while lives get built up around her. Ella is there, but not in the everyday-interaction celebration-of-accomplishments, siblings-fighting-in-the-car kind of way...
